Around My Studio
I realize I'm not great at sharing many behind the scenes looks at running Jenna Lou Designs. Mostly that comes from the fact that I've been in business for 7 plus years and it feels so routine to me. I worry I will bore you with constant photos of new fabrics, or that weeks orders of clutches.... though I never get sick of seeing the colors come together.
If you know me personally then you've surely heard me complain about my studio space. It's split between two rooms in my home with our main living areas (dinning and living rooms) right in the middle. Though I'm grateful to have as much space as I do, I've often felt like I have a hard time separating work from family life and just being able to physically see my studio after hours doesn't make matters any easier.
With baby on the way, I've been spending some time in my studio cleaning things up, purging extra supplies (which I plan to sell at my open house this year and then donate the remainder), and redecorating a bit to make my space more cheerful. It's especially important to me to create a studio that doesn't overwhelm me, or fill me with guilt of all the work needing to be done.
I've made some huge progress and plan to share more snippets of my studio space over on instagram. You can follow along there @jennaloudesigns.
